Kyle Mims (Our Son!)

Kyle our son and Former (Jewel of Stacey Earle and The Jewels (Simple Gearle Tour and Dancing With Them That Brung CD.

 Then later the Band (Love is Red) (Riffles at Recess) and now Currently now drummer of  Evergreen Terrace has been in a bad bike accident.
With in a week of leaving out on tour to promote their new CD ALMOST HOME.  Kyle, Liss and a band mate were taking a bicycle ride when
the spokes collapsed on Kyle's bike. The bike buckled and up and over he went.
He has a Severe Concussion, 3 full breaks to the Clavicle, 2 Fractures to his left elbow Stitches above the eye and blood clot in lung due to complications post surgery after replacing clavicle with medal bar. along with  and lots of road rash (BUUURN!)
Kyle is now making a slow but positive recovery; he will still need physical therapy and more. We bring this up because the medical bills are pilling up.
Around 100,000 at this point.
His band and "us his family" have set up a donation website to help with medical bills and upcoming physical therapy. Any help at all would be much appreciated. We hope very much to get Kyle back on his drum thrown were he is the most happiest as soon as possible. You still can see Evergreen on tour for they have a temporary drummer sitting in for Kyle.

UPDATE 12/27/09
Kyle is doing much better!
Still on Blood thinners for a while and follow ups with Drs.
Now back touring with his band Evergreen Terrace
Kyle is a hard working guy but no matter how hard he works towards
His recovery he faces a longer harder financial recovery.
Unfortunately no Medical Insurance like so many others,
Including myself, Stacey. I have pre pre-existing health stuff.
Kyle on the other hand just young and trying to make it a go with his band
Like so many other artist.
We have received many very generous donations.
This money has gone toward Kyle's Cat Scans, Reg Blood work,
We paid off the surgeon and anesthesiologist, Ex-rays, Blood Work etc.
But with all this due to 5 days ICU, Emergency Room twice, surgery
Kyle is now still 80,000 in medical debt.
GOD PLEASE GRANT NATIONAL HEALTH CARE!
IT WAS NOT THERE FOR KYLE AND IT LOOKS LIKE IT
WON’T BE THERE FOR ANYBODY ELSE IN THE NEAR FUTURE.
So if Kyle is now required to buy Insurance because they will now excuse his new found pre-exciting condition,
where is the money going to come from to pay for his insurance
Now that he is so in debt?
We are still asking for donation for Kyle towards medical bill debt

UPDATE 8/17/09
Kyle Mims (Evergreen Terrace Drummer) is home and Blood Clot Free at this point.
He is now and will be on Blood Thinners for the next 6 months.
He will still need physical therapy but we feel he will in time be back up to par and up on the drum thrown.
originally the Dr did not think he would be able to turn his left hand face up.
But he is proving them wrong. with each day Kyle is gaining more and more movement to the left arm in general.
So that's where we are at this point other then now in dept to the hospitals and Dr's for about 100,000
And we can live with that because with that, we truly feel Kyle will make a full recovery.

UPDATE! 7/23/09
Kyle is back in the hospital.
He now has a blood clot in his lung.
We will keep you all posted.

UPDATE! 7/14/09
Kyle Mims AKA (Butters) AKA: Kyle (The Wolf biker who falls off his bike) Update.
Kyle had his surgery on Monday and is now on the mend.
The Surgeon unfortunately could not save the broken bones in his clavicle.
it was 3 clean breaks so they replaced it with a metal bar.
They had full success with his elbow.
His Concussion is on the mend as well.
He will need Physical Therapy and with that
The surgeon feels Kyle will be back up on the drum thrown in a few months.
While Kyle is on the mend the bills are rolling in.
We will keep the donation page up and going for a while.
